Changing phone without losing your chats, getting your photos back, restarting a stuck backup: I take care of your WhatsApp at your home, on iPhone and Android, and check with you that everything is there before I leave.
What I do on WhatsApp
- Transfer to a new phone: chats, photos and groups, including Android to iPhone or iPhone to Android, using the official method.
- Automatic backup: set up on iCloud (iPhone) or on your Google account (Android), then checked to make sure it really runs.
- Stuck backup that no longer progresses, often because storage is full.
- Change of number while keeping your chats and groups.
- Verification code that never arrives, app that will not open or asks to be reinstalled.
- WhatsApp on your computer or tablet, linked to your phone.
- WhatsApp photos and videos filling up the phone: clean-up and settings so it does not happen again.
Before you change phone
Keep your old phone switched on and do not reset it until WhatsApp has been restored on the new one. This is the most important precaution: as long as the old device works, a transfer is almost always possible. If you give it away or wipe it too early, everything depends on the last backup.
What I cannot do
Deleted chats that were never backed up cannot be recovered, and I tell you so before spending time on it. If your account has been banned by WhatsApp, only WhatsApp can reinstate it: I help you submit the request, with no guarantee of the outcome. And I only work on your own account, never on someone else's without their knowledge.

Frequently asked questions
Can WhatsApp be transferred from Android to iPhone?
Yes, using the official method provided by Apple and WhatsApp, which runs while the new iPhone is being set up. It is easier if the iPhone has not been set up yet. Chats, photos and groups come across.
I changed phone and my WhatsApp chats are gone. Can they be recovered?
Often yes, if there is a backup on iCloud or on your Google account, or if the old phone still works and has not been reset. Without a backup and without the old device, the chats cannot be retrieved.
Where are my WhatsApp chats backed up?
On an iPhone, the backup goes to iCloud. On an Android phone, it goes to your Google account. If no backup is turned on, the chats exist only on the phone itself: it is the first setting I check.
