Who is behind DING?

DING stands for Dépannage Informatique Nunez Garcia (Nunez Garcia IT Repair) — and it is also the sound of your doorbell when I arrive to fix your problem. I am an independent IT technician making home visits, based in the canton of Geneva.

My background

For several years I worked as a technician for Mila, a Swisscom partner company. My day-to-day: taking requests from customers with a fault and going to their homes to fix their TV, Internet and phones — installing new equipment, diagnosing network faults, but also printers, computers and smartphones.

Hundreds of call-outs later, one thing is obvious: what people want is not a hotline or technical jargon. It is an IT specialist who comes, fixes things, and explains them simply. That is exactly what DING offers.

How I work

• I pick up the phone. You speak directly to the technician who will come to your home — not to a call centre.
• I start diagnosing over the phone. A few questions are often enough to pin down the fault and estimate how long the visit will take.
• I fix things at your home, in your real environment, with your devices and your network — where faults actually happen.
• I leave you self-sufficient. Passwords written down, steps explained, tips to avoid a repeat.

Service area

I cover the whole canton of Geneva, from the city centre to the municipalities: Carouge, Lancy, Vernier, Meyrin, Onex, Thônex, Versoix, Grand-Saconnex, Plan-les-Ouates, Bernex, Chêne-Bougeries, Veyrier and all the others.
