iCloud help at your home in Geneva
The 'iCloud Storage Full' message that comes back every day, photos that do not show up on the computer, a backup that fails, a forgotten Apple password: I put your iCloud back in order at your home, on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
What I do on iCloud
- Full iCloud storage: I look at what is taking up space, we sort it together, and I tell you honestly whether a paid plan is worth it or not.
- iCloud Photos: syncing between iPhone, iPad and computer, getting your photos onto a Mac or a PC.
- iPhone backup that fails or has not run for months.
- Apple ID: forgotten password, two-factor authentication, trusted phone number to update.
- New iPhone: full restore from the old one's backup.
- Family Sharing and shared storage.
- Fake iCloud alerts received by e-mail or text: I show you how to recognise the real ones.
Do you have to pay for more storage?
Not necessarily. Apple gives 5 GB, quickly filled by photos and backups. Sometimes a clean-up is enough: old backups of devices you no longer own, duplicate videos, attachments. Sometimes the paid plan is simply the right answer, and I tell you so. Either way, you decide knowing what is really using the space.
What I cannot do
I do not remove an activation lock: only Apple can, for the owner, on presentation of proof of purchase. If the Apple ID is lost, recovery follows Apple's official procedure, which can take several days: I start it with you, but I cannot speed it up. Photos deleted more than 30 days ago and missing from any backup cannot be recovered. And I do no hardware repairs on iPhones.
Tell me the exact message your iPhone shows on 078 733 94 96, and I'll tell you what it means and how much time to allow.
Frequently asked questions
My iPhone says 'iCloud Storage Full'. Do I have to pay?
No, not necessarily. The 5 GB Apple gives fill up fast with photos and backups. A clean-up may be enough. If not, a paid plan is the simplest answer. I show you what is taking up the space before you decide.
If I delete a photo from my iPhone, is it deleted from iCloud too?
Yes, if iCloud Photos is turned on: the photo is deleted on all your devices. It stays in the 'Recently Deleted' album for 30 days, from where you can still restore it.
I forgot my Apple ID password. What should I do?
It is reset through Apple's official procedure, from a trusted device or with your trusted phone number. If you have neither, Apple starts an account recovery that can take several days. I guide you through it.
