Printer repair at your home in Geneva

Printer "offline" while switched on, unresponsive after a cartridge change, not found on Wi-Fi, or no longer printing one colour: these are very common faults, almost always fixable without buying new equipment. HP, Canon, Epson, Brother — I know their classic problems.

Frequently asked questions

My printer says "offline" even though it is switched on. Why?

It is almost always a lost Wi-Fi connection, a stuck print queue, or a wrongly set default printer after the router restarted. It is usually fixed in a few minutes.

Why doesn't my printer respond after a cartridge change?

The cartridge is sometimes not clicked in properly, not recognised by the security chip, or the ink has not had time to prime. If the error persists after several attempts, it may also be an incompatible or faulty cartridge.

Why is one colour no longer printing?

Most often a clogged nozzle (a head cleaning solves most cases) or an empty cartridge despite the indicator. If the print head is really worn out on an entry-level model, I tell you honestly whether buying a new one is cheaper than repairing.

My printer has disappeared since I changed my Internet router or moved to fibre. How do I reconnect it?

After a change of router, the printer has to be reconnected manually to the new Wi-Fi network on most models. It is quick once you know where to look in the printer menus.
